What is the Initial Consultation
?
A: The initial consultation is designed to give the couple
and the minister a chance to meet, briefly discuss background,
and discuss details of the ceremony. This is in essence
the opportunity for the couple to meet with and interview the
potential minister.
Q: Do you require
Premarital Counseling or Couples Counseling
?
A: No premarital counseling or couples counseling service
is not required.
Q: What credentials
do you have that allow you to perform marriages
?
A: The State of Idaho allows ministers of the gospel from any
denomination to perform solemnization of marriage. I am an
ordained minister with title of Reverend with credentials of ordination from Universal
Life Church.
Q: Do my fiancé and I have to be of the same religion /
faith as the minister to allow the minister to officiate our wedding
ceremony
?
A: No you do not have to share faith or belief.
Interfaith marriages are allowed.
Q: Is a prayer
required in the wedding ceremony
?
A: No prayer is required. A prayer can be performed
by the minister at the request of the Bride and Groom, but there
is no requirement for a prayer in the ceremony.
Q: Who coordinates the wedding ceremony
?
A: If the Bride and Groom have hired a professional
service to plan and organize the wedding event, the minister
will work with the Wedding Planner to coordinate the wedding
ceremony. If no Wedding Planner is being used, the
minister will coordinate the events of the ceremony.
Q: Can the wedding ceremony be altered to add family
traditions and customs
?
A: The wedding ceremony can be altered at the request of
the Bride and Groom and many traditions can be added to the
ceremony with little or no extra costs.
